Pencil is the simplest and most versatile material in art but now….

For years artists and sketchers have used pencils, Graphite, it is still a beautiful medium and used well produces stunning results.

In recent years new materials, new techniques and surfaces have made graphite an even more exciting medium.

In the course you will have an opportunity to develop your pencil skills as well as try new ways of working including, to mention a few,

Matt Graphite, liquid graphite, embossing softer pencils up to 14B, block graphite as well as new erasers with the option of negative marks.

The simplicity of the material removes many of the complexities of other mediums allowing us to concentrate on texture, tone and detail. The slow development for the drawing is an opportunity to relax, find a still space and simply draw with beautiful results.

Before the course I will email more information including the Zoom Link (the workshop will be delivered on line through Zoom ) a materials list, photography, a gridded photograph to help with the drawing and a printable outline drawing.

For course members who would like it, for £10 I can supply and outline drawing on Strathmore Bristol Paper and an A3 photograph. Please ensure I am informed at trevorozzi@icloud.com , at least a week before the workshop

The course will start at 10am and finish at 3.30pm
