The online course will painting a bright and sun filled,
still life in oils. Suitable for all levels of ability.
Traditional oil painting techniques for all levels of
ability.
A link to the Zoom App based workshop and a materials
list will be provided on booking.The materials list will be as inexpensive as I
can possibly make it.
This day will allow you to meet other members of the online class. It will then provided help in how to set up your work space for online instruction. We will then go through the materials and tools, colour mixing using a limited palette of colours, preparing a canvas, drawing up ready to paint, applying paint and achieving great results.
The intention is to have a fun, interactive and informative
day.
Materials list for all online course
Oils
Canvas or canvas board 8 inches x 10 inches
A selection of hog or synthetic hog brushes 5 will do fine .
from size 2 to 6 filbert, flat or round
Two palette knives one large one small
Paint, Titanium white, cadmium yellow medium, alizarin
crimson, ultramarine blue and burnt umber
White spirit or odourless thinners for cleaning up
Liquin for thinning paint
A ruler, pencil, acrylic gesso (for preparing boards)
An easel . Table easel or books to hold the painting up
Kitchen towel and an old cloth
