A one day workshop exploring colour and texture in pastel. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the work of a master of pastel painting.
We will be creating a masterwork based on the work of Degas. We will practice his techniques his mastery of colour theory and skin tones translated to Pastel. We will
explore painting skin tones, hair and capturing emotion in a portrait.
As I will be teaching techniques from basic principles this
is a course for all levels of ability and would make a great gift.
Using a strong subject will allowing us to concentrate on texture, tone and detail. The slow development of the drawing is an opportunity to relax, find a still space and simply draw with beautiful results.
Before the course I will email more information including
the Zoom Link (the workshop will be delivered on line through Zoom ) a
materials list, photography, a gridded photograph to help with the drawing and
a printable outline drawing.
For course members who would like it, for £15 I can supply
and outline drawing on Pastelmat and an A3 photograph. Please ensure I am
informed at trevorozzi@icloud.com ,
at least a week before the workshop
